Tambayaki is a traditional pottery in Sasayama City in Hyogo, counted as one of six old kilns in Japan with the history of more than 800 years.
At Tambyaki festival, you can purchase popular Tambayaki wares at limied price.
Sasayama is surrounded by rich nature and around 60 Tambayaki potteries are dotted around the area. It is recommended to stroll around a pathway lined with potteries. In addition, you can enjoy special products of Tamba Sasayama such as Sasayama beef, Tamba Sasayama black edamame, craft beer, and local sake.
For the 40th celebration of the festival, many fun events are held such as quiz, exhibition, and charity auction.
