Daijo-ji Temple

It is the text from here.

Daijo-ji is a temple of Mt. Koya Shingon sect of Buddhism. The temple is famous for 165 shoheki-ga (pictures on room partitions) from Edo Era drawn by Maruyama Okyo and his disciples. These shoheki-ga are skillfully drawn so that they present different three-dimensional images depending on the angle. The pictures drawn on the fusuma (sliding screens) have especially high artistic value. You can see the traditional painting techniques and Buddhist artworks in Japan.
